Ryan Shawcross believes Stoke can cause another Britannia Stadium upset when Valencia visit on Thursday night.
This season Tottenham and Liverpool lost when they visited Stoke whilst Manchester United only escaped with a draw.
In fact since Stoke were promoted four years ago they have beaten Arsenal three times, and Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City twice at the Britannia.
And Shawcross feels that the Potters can take confidence from those results when they face the third-placed La Liga side in the Europa League.
Shawcross told The Sentinel: "We are playing against one of the top teams in Spain, so we know this will be difficult. But we have beaten a lot of top teams here, so we can do it again.
"We would have wanted to be at home in the second leg, but we aren't because we qualified second in our group, so that is our own fault.
"But we need to get something on the board at home before we go to a very tough ground next week.
"I am sure the home support will be as loud as it has ever been. All the fans are looking forward to it.
"We see Valencia a lot in La Liga games on television.
"They are a top side and have international players throughout the team so it is going to be a difficult task. But at home we can match anyone."
