Toulouse have moved to fend off mounting interest in Tunisia international Aymen Abdennour by tying him down on improved terms.
The highly-rated defender is now committed to the Ligue 1 club until the summer of 2016.
He was already under contract until 2015, but has seen a number of eye-catching displays earn him an extension.
With reports suggesting that the likes of Arsenal and Stoke were keeping a close eye on his progress, Toulouse have wasted no time in thrashing out fresh terms.
They consider the 22-year-old to be a hot prospect for the future and are determined to ensure that they are the ones to benefit from his undoubted potential.
"His adaptation to Ligue 1 has been a real success and he's a player who has a great future ahead of him," said Toulouse coach Alain Casanova.
Abdennour moved to France from Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in 2011 and has made 18 appearances for Toulouse so far this season.
