Hamburg winger Romeo Castelen is resigned to leaving the Bundesliga club when his contract expires in the summer.
The former Holland international joined from Feyenoord in 2007, although his spell has been plagued by injury.
Castelen has been restricted to 17 appearances and he has been informed by general manager Frank Arnesen he will not be kept on.
"In the summer my spell at Hamburg will end. This is what I've been told by Frank Arnesen," explained Castelen in BILD.
"I'm a realist. I know the club is unable to put up plans that include me.
"I'm free of pain right now, so I'll have to wait and see.
"My chances of having more starts with Hamburg in the Bundesliga are rather minimal."
