Mat Mitchel-King believes there is still plenty of improvement to come from both himself and the AFC Wimbledon team.
The centre-half has finally cemented a place in the Dons' first team after a spate of injuries earlier in the season.
"Although I'm 28 I'm only in my third year as a full-time professional and I know I can still improve," he said.
Manager Terry Brown overhauled his squad in January, bringing in the likes of George Moncur, Byron Harrison and Billy Knott.
And Mitchel-King added: "This season has been a real learning curve for the club and I believe there is a lot more to come from the new-look team
"It will take a few more weeks for us to really bed down as a unit but the management and coaching staff are working hard to get us to gel."
