Defender claims confident is high within QPR camp

Nedum Onuoha claims confidence within the QPR camp remains high despite the club remaining locked in a Premier League basement battle. A 2-1 reversal against fellow strugglers Wolves last time out has left the Rs precariously perched just one point above the drop zone. With little margin for error at Loftus Road, each passing fixture takes on added importance. That is especially true this weekend, with Mark Hughes' men set to travel to Blackburn for an archetypal relegation six-pointer. Onuoha says the Rs will arrive at Ewood Park full of belief, with everyone connected with the club convinced that they can steer clear of trouble. "We're all positive," he told the club's official website.

Bright future

"There are a lot of players that have been in this position before in their careers. I was in a similar position a number of years ago with Manchester City. "You just need to know that you can trust your team-mates and we all believe that is the case here. "If we can stay in the Premier League this season, there's a very bright future at Loftus Road." On a crucial clash with Blackburn on Saturday, Onuoha added: "I think Kenny Dalglish made a statement recently after seeing his side lose, something along the lines of 'I think some of the players didn't realise the next game is always the most important one'. "That's always the case - so this game against Blackburn on Saturday is a massive game. "You have to go into every game looking to achieve something. The main ambition of this club is to win every game and that's what we'll be looking to do at the weekend."
