Boss quells Aden injury fears

Injured defender Aden Flint could return to first-team action for Swindon within six weeks, according to manager Paolo Di Canio.

Last week Di Canio admitted he feared Flint would be out for the rest of the season after receiving advice from a specialist on a groin injury. However, after getting a second opinion on the knock, the Italian revealed the outlook is a lot brighter for Flint - and he may well be back in time to help the Robins in their attempts to secure promotion from League Two. "Last week we said three months because it is better to be more cautious," Di Canio told the Swindon Advertiser. "However, we sent Aden to a top specialist with this type of injury and he told us he could be back to join the team in around one month and a half. "Obviously everyone can react differently but we have a big belief. Flint is young and he has the determination to join the team at the crucial point of the season and that is very positive."
