Ganso eyes Santos stay

Coveted Brazilian midfielder wants to stay with current club

Ganso: Eyeing stay with current club Santos

Brazilian starlet Ganso insists he wants to stay at current club Santos for the foreseeable future.

The midfield ace, like team-mate Neymar, has been constantly linked with a move to Europe for much of the last 12 months, with Portuguese side Porto having made an offer.

But the 22-year-old international insists that he wants to stay with his current team.

"I have a contract with Santos until 2015, whether I leave the club before that is up to God," he said.

"Regardless of that, I am calm here and I continue to work. I will say again that I am very happy playing for Santos."

Regarding his new contract, he said: "I hope that this (speculation) will end soon, I want to stay here."

Asked about Santos' answer to Porto's proposal, Ganso added: "I do not have to like what the club is offered, but (I have to like) what me and my family are offered, in terms of salary.

"I have had offers from Porto, Corinthians and several other clubs. If I wanted to leave, I would have done it by now."
