Dale boss swoops for Symes

Rochdale manager John Coleman has signed Bournemouth striker Michael Symes on loan until May 5.

Former Accrington striker Symes, who has made 43 appearances for the Cherries over 18 months, has struggled with injuries this season. The 28-year-old has featured 19 times for Bournemouth this term but, with the permanent signings of Matt Tubbs and Wes Thomas, is expected to fall down the pecking order. The forward has gone to Spotland in search of regular first-team football, although the terms of the agreement stipulate that Symes will not be able to face his parent club when Rochdale entertain the Cherries on February 18.
