Defender Luke Garbutt is enjoying life with Cheltenham and would like to extend his loan spell with the Robins.
The Everton defender's current deal with the Robins expires on February 14, but Garbutt is keen to play his part in securing promotion from League Two.
Cheltenham sit top of the table at present, with Garbutt featuring on a regular basis, and the teenager thinks staying in Gloucestershire until the end of the season will only be a positive influence on his career.
He told the Echo: "Both clubs are talking all the time and for my development it's certainly going to do me no harm staying until the end of the season and I definitely want to stay.
"There aren't many chances to win promotion during your career, so for me to start out with one here at Cheltenham in my first proper year as a professional would be great.
"To get promotion and hopefully a trophy under my belt in that first year would be brilliant."
