Millers curb Cresswell exit

Rotherham skipper Ryan Cresswell will not be going out on loan after manager Andy Scott was forced to change his plans.

Cresswell was poised for a spell at another club in a bid to regain his match fitness following a foot injury, but fellow central defenders Johnny Mullins and Michael Raynes will not be available for Saturday's home game with Torquay. Scott told the club's official website: "With Johnny Mullins' injury and Raynesy's suspension for Saturday, clearly Ryan comes into contention. "He's trained really hard and done well and I will have no hesitation in putting him in if required. "The idea of getting him out on loan was to get him games, but obviously that was only the case if Mullins, Raynes and [Richard] Naylor were all fit. "Fortunately he didn't go before the injury to Johnny and the red for Michael."
