Everton have confirmed they have agreed a fee with Rangers to sign Nikica Jelavic.
As exclusively revealed by skysports.com over the weekend, Everton have made a move for Jelavic as they look to bolster their attacking options.
The Croatian striker has been linked with a host of clubs this month following a series of impressive performances for Rangers.
West Ham and West Brom have both been credited with an interest in Jelavic, but Everton have stolen a march on their rivals by agreeing a deal with Rangers for the 26-year-old.
Jelavic has now travelled to Merseyside to hold talks and undergo a medical as he looks to secure the switch to Goodison Park.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports understands Everton's move for Greek defender Kostas Manolas has fallen through.
Everton have held a long-term interest in the AEK Athens stopper, but they have been unable to strike a deal before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday night.
However, Everton remain in talks with the player's representatives about a possible pre-contract deal, with Manolas out of contract at the end of the season.
