Sky Sports understands that Barnsley striker Ricardo Vaz Te is set to undergo a medical at West Ham United.
Sam Allardyce knows the Portuguese striker very well having brought him to England during his tenure at Bolton.
Now, after scoring ten goals for Barnsley this season, West Ham have struck a deal for the 25-year-old.
Vaz Te's current deal at Oakwell is due to expire in the summer and the Tykes have now decided to cash in rather than letting him go on a free transfer.
The two clubs have now agreed an undisclosed fee for the forward who should complete his move on Tuesday.
West Ham have been looking to bolster their forward options and Allardyce looks set to bag Vaz Te and Genoa striker Ze Eduardo.
