Kris Boyd has joined Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers.
The former Rangers striker, who is the SPL's all-time top scorer with 164 goals, will complete the move subject to a medical and work permit.
The 28-year-old was a free agent after terminating his three-year contract with Turkish club Eskisehirspor in December.
Boyd claimed he had not been paid since joining the club in July 2011.
The Portland Timbers were founded in 2009 and became the 18th team in the MLS.
