Sky Sports understands Barnsley are poised to sign Exeter City full-back Scott Golbourne.
Barnsley are believed to have agreed a fee with League One Exeter for Golbourne.
Golbourne has agreed personal terms and passed a medical at Oakwell and is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The former England youth international has impressed at Exeter since arriving from Reading in 2009 and Barnsley have moved to lure him away from St James Park.
Golbourne is set to go straight into the Barnsley squad for Tuesday's home clash with Derby if he finalises his move in time.
