Mark Hughes has confirmed Queens Park Rangers are in talks with Lazio over the potential signing of Djibril Cisse.
Rangers boss Hughes is determined to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window slams shut and is lining up a move for Cisse.
Cisse only joined the Serie A outfit last summer from Panathinaikos, but the former Liverpool and Sunderland striker has struggled to nail down a regular place in the side.
Hughes is now ready to offer the Frenchman a return to the Premier League and he revealed talks are ongoing with Lazio.
"We are looking at that situation and we will try and progress on that," said Hughes.
"As a club we don't like to flag things up until they are actually done and dusted and we are far from that in regards to Cisse.
"So until we do I really can't confirm one way or the other, but certainly there is an interest there.
"But we will have to wait and see."
