Tottenham teenager Tom Carroll has joined Derby County on loan until the end of the season in the latest stage of his development.
The 19-year-old midfielder has made seven appearances in cup competitions for Harry Redknapp's side this season after making his debut in the Europa League play-off against Hearts at White Hart Lane in August.
He enjoyed a successful loan spell at Leyton Orient last term - making 14 appearances - and the Rams hope the youngster can make a similar impact at Pride Park.
The midfielder, who was called up to the England Under-21 squad in November, is in line to make his debut in Tuesday's Championship clash at Barnsley.
Derby boss Nigel Clough told the club's official website: "We're delighted to welcome Tom on board.
"He's a highly regarded young player and we have monitored his progress for a considerable amount of time.
"He brings another option for us in midfield and it's great he will be around for the rest of the season.
"Tom has already played first-team football at Tottenham this season and they view him coming here as an important part of his development."
