Inter boss tells club he wants PSG-linked Motta to stay

Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri has underlined his wish that Thiago Motta remains with the Nerazzurri. Motta has previously hinted that he could leave Inter and join big-spending Paris St Germain before the end of the January transfer window. The midfielder's contract with the Serie A giants expires next summer and the Nerazzurri have yet to offer him an extension. But Ranieri insists he wants to keep the 29-year-old as he seeks to guide his side up the Serie A table. "I've asked the club, Thiago Motta will stay", Ranieri told Sky Italia after his side lost 1-0 at Lecce on Sunday. "As for what I know, he will remain with us," he added.
