Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has confirmed the club have rejected an offer from Bournemouth for striker Will Hoskins.
The 25-year-old only joined the Seagulls last summer from Bristol Rovers and signed a two-year contract at the AMEX Stadium.
However, he has been restricted to just nine appearances this season and has been a long-term target for League One club Bournemouth.
Reports earlier in the week claimed that a fee had been agreed between the two clubs and Hoskins subsequently expressed his disappointment that he could be moving.
Poyet, though, has rebuffed an approach from the Cherries and he is not looking to part with any of his players ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.
"They made an offer and we turned it down, nothing else," said Poyet in The Argus. "We are not keen to sell anyone."
Bournemouth, who signed Steve Cook from Brighton on a permanent basis earlier this month, are hoping to bring in a new striker before the transfer window closes.
