Winnall moves to Caley Thistle for rest of the season

Inverness have bolstered their options for the remainder of the season after landing Wolves striker Sam Winnall on loan. The 21-year-old was snapped up by manager Terry Butcher following a glowing reference from David Davis, who the club had on loan from Molineux in the first half of the campaign. Butcher is a fan of Winnall's ability and is delighted the youngster, who is now in line to make his debut in Saturday's clash with St Mirren, has joined.

Delighted

"Sam's got terrific ability and is a proven finisher and we're delighted that he's agreed to join us," explained Butcher. "He gives us another option going forward and he can also play midfield. "Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told me he was extremely pleased with the benefits David Davis gained from his spell with us. "He felt David had gone away a boy and returned a man, as regular SPL action had developed him physically and improved his match awareness."
