Steven Hammell: Keen to finish his career with Motherwell

Sky Bet

Motherwell defender Steven Hammell is eager to commit his future to Fir Park for the remainder of his career.

The 29-year-old's contract is due to expire in the summer, although he is not looking to leave Well for pastures new.

Hammell believes he still has a number of years left in him as a player and is hoping to stay on with the club.

Stay

"I would love to stay here for the rest my career," he told the Wishaw Press.

"As everyone knows, I love it here so it is definitely something that I would be keen to do.

"Hopefully, my agent and the club can sit down soon and get something sorted in terms of a new contract.

"I am still in my 20s, just, and feel as though I have got a long time left in the game.

"I am getting better as I get older with the experience I pick up."
