Queens Park Rangers' hopes of signing Alex appear to be over, because the Chelsea defender wants to join Paris Saint Germain.
Talks on Wednesday took place between the Brazilian and the wealthy Ligue 1 club, but, ahead of continued discussions, there has yet to be an official offer for the centre-back.

QPR boss Mark Hughes, who it has been revealed is in negotiations with Nancy midfielder Samba Diakite, had hoped to make Alex one of his new signings.
But, given time to think, the 29-year-old did not want to stay in England and he is likely to move to France if PSG agree a fee with Chelsea in the region of €5million (£4.2m).
Alex's agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, told L'Equipe of discussions in Paris: "We didn't receive any official offer from PSG.
"At the current stage, it is only talks, but they have started well. Alex has a big desire to join PSG."
