Toffees 'keeper knows USA ace will be one to watch

Tim Howard believes Everton need to keep fellow USA international Clint Dempsey quiet if they plan to beat Fulham in the FA Cup. The goalkeeper thinks Dempsey has been the Cottagers' stand-out player, epitomised by last weekend's hat-trick against Newcastle. Fulham are now above Everton in the Premier League ladder on goal difference following their 5-2 success over the Magpies. The Toffees are winless in four league outings and Howard is fully aware of Dempsey's value to Martin Jol's troops, especially with the possibility of a Wembley appearance in the offing.

Best player

"Without any disrespect to Fulham, I think Clint's been their best player for quite a while," Howard told evertontv. "It seems year after year they begin to rely more and more on his presence, on his goals and on his leadership. "I know Clint has been on a wonderful scoring run but hopefully we can keep him out and keep him quiet."
