Sevilla have confirmed that Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres has joined Juventus.
The 24-year-old moves to the Serie A giants on an initial loan deal for the remainder of the season - which will cost the Italians €1.5 million (£1.25 million) - with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of it for a further €8 million (£6.5 million).
"It would be a great transfer because we would multiply by 250 percent the figures we paid to buy him six months ago (from Barcelona)," Sevilla technical secretary Victor Orta had told club's official website prior to the completion of the deal.
"The offer by Juventus is irresistible and technically feasible, because we have many players, such as Coke, Spahic, Medel, Alexis and Morales, who can play at right back."
Caceres spent the 2009/10 campaign on loan at Juventus from Barcelona, but the Italian side opted not to purchase the player after an injury-plagued season.
However, the Serie A leaders revived their interest in the player after some impressive displays for Sevilla this term.
