Borussia Dortmund will be without Mario Gotze for up to two months after he was diagnosed with a groin injury.
The 19-year-old is seen as the next big talent in German football but has not played for the Bundesliga champions since 11th December.
The midfielder is expected to be an integral part of Germany's Euro 2012 team and has already been linked with a host of top European clubs.
A club statement read: "He will be out for six to eight weeks. That means Gotze will be back for the away game against Mainz 05 in mid-March at the earliest."
