Ellis urges more home wins

Torquay's home form will play a major role in their League Two play-off push according to defender Mark Ellis.

Ellis, who has netted in each of his last two matches for the Gulls, thinks Plainmoor has become an intimidating place for opponents to visit. And the 23-year-old is confident the Devon club can cement their place in the top seven if they continue to grind out the results in front of their own fans. "We'll take it game by game," he said. "We know it's important to be going into our away games and getting a result because at home we have been superb. "Teams do find it difficult coming down to our place and we proved that last season as well. Teams have come down expecting to get a result and found out they're on the losing team. "We're always looking to go out and impress in front of our own fans."
