Carlisle defender Danny Livesey has few complaints about starting on the substitutes' bench for the majority of matches this season.
The 27-year-old centre-half, restricted to 10 league starts due to the form of skipper Peter Murphy and Lubo Michalik, returned to the starting line-up for the first time in over two months in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Walsall.
Livesey told the club's official website: "It was good to be back on the pitch again. I was a bit heavy-legged near the end, to say the least, but I think I did okay.
"I was told on Friday that I needed to get myself ready because I would probably be starting, but that wasn't a problem. I've told the gaffer all along that I'm ready when he needs me.
"I haven't been able to go knocking on the door about not starting games because the lads have been doing so well. If they're getting results there's nothing you can say.
"I won't lie to you, I'm not happy when I'm not playing, but you just keep working hard and hope your chance will come."
