Yeovil will not take any action regarding striker Steve MacLean's goal celebration at Bury on Saturday after an internal inquiry.
The Glovers frontman made a curious gesture, which appeared at the time to be aimed at the Somerset side's dug-out, after scoring in the 3-2 defeat at Gigg Lane.
Yeovil manager Gary Johnson had initially suggested that the forward could be disciplined if he found out that the signal had been directed at either him or his coaching staff.
However, following discussions between Johnson and the player, the Huish Park outfit have declared the matter closed.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Following speculation in the media regarding a gesture made by Yeovil Town player Steve MacLean at Gigg Lane on Saturday during the club's game with Bury, the club have held their own internal inquiry into the incident.
"Having spoken with the player, manager Gary Johnson is satisfied that the gesture was not aimed at the Yeovil Town bench and was merely an over-exuberant celebration and he now considers the matter closed."
