Hamilton forward Dougie Imrie is set to undergo a medical at St Mirren after the two clubs agreed a fee for the 28-year-old.
The SPL side are believed to have offered £35,000 for the former Inverness star and have been granted permission to discuss personal terms.
The player suggested that a deal was close when he said on his Twitter account: "Away for a medical...busy time."
League One side MK Dons were also rumoured to be interested in signing Imrie, while Dundee United saw a £25,000 bid rejected by The Accies.
