A host of clubs are ready to make moves for Colchester United skipper Magnus Okuonghae this month, Sky Sports understands.
The 25-year-old has become a stalwart at the heart of the U's defence since moving to Essex from Dagenham & Redbridge in 2009.
Now Colchester face a battle keep their defensive star, with clubs from the Premier League, Championship and League One keeping tabs on his situation.
Amongst those monitoring his form is former boss Paul Lambert at Norwich, but a move to the Championship looks more likely with the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace and Millwall all keen.
League One leaders Charlton are also been credited with an interest in the Nigerian-born stopper.
