Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti claims he is waiting to hear from Manchester City over his side's bid for Carlos Tevez.
Reports have suggested City have rejected Inter's €25million bid for the striker as it falls short of their valuation of the Argentine.
Tevez has been linked with a move away from City for some time with the player going AWOL after returning to his native Argentina in December.
AC Milan have seen a move for Tevez fall through after City refused to agree to a loan move as they would prefer to sell the player on a permanent basis.
Big-spending Paris Saint Germain have also been credited with an interest in Tevez as they look to make a statement in the transfer window.
Moratti has denied reports that their opening bid for Tevez has been turned down claiming he is still waiting for City official response to the offer.
"Tevez is an interesting player," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia. "We haven't received any response from Manchester City yet,"
"Now we have to see if it's worth the bother of signing him."
No Sneijder swap
Moratti has also moved to dismiss speculation that Wesley Sneijder could be offered to City as part of the deal for Tevez insisting the Dutchman is not for sale
"Sneijder is not for sale. More youngsters will arrive, because that is the project."
