Sky Sports understands Blackpool have taken former Hibernian star Derek Riordan on trial as they weigh up a move for the free agent.
Riordan is looking for a new club after leaving Shaanxi Chanba In November following four months with the Chinese side.
The 28-year-old recently enjoyed a short training stint at Kilmarnock and he is thought to have impressed at Rugby Park.
Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has now offered the Scottish international the chance to win a move to Bloomfield Road as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
Riordan is thought to have played for Blackpool in a behind closed doors game against Bolton on Monday so that Holloway could cast an eye over him.
If Riordan impresses during his time at Blackpool Holloway could offer the former Celtic man a short-term deal at Bloomfield Road.
