Kuqi urges Latics cup focus

Shefki Kuqi has urged Oldham to guard against complacency ahead of their Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Chesterfield.

Latics have taken four points from their meetings with the League One basement boys this season, winning 5-2 at Boundary Park in November before drawing 1-1 in the return fixture earlier this month. But Kuqi feels Oldham's record against the Spireites will count for little at the B2net Stadium on Tuesday night. "We cannot think about them being bottom of the league because they showed against us in our recent meeting that they are dangerous, so we have to be ready for them," he told his club's official website. "The game will be different to the league matches as all the players know they are just one round from Wembley."
