Leicester City have taken David Cotterill on trial following the winger's recent departure from Swansea City.
The 24-year-old was released by the Premier League newcomers last week just two years after becoming the South Wales club's record signing.
Cotterill signed for the Swans for £600,000 in January 2010 but failed to make an appearance this season and was released from the final 18 months of his contract by mutual consent.
He has now linked up with Championship side Leicester and Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is keen to see how the Wales international performs in training
Pearson said: "He has been with us only a couple of days so we will see how that develops.
"We haven't had a great opportunity to do a lot of work with him. We are looking in various positions to try to strengthen, of course."
