Fleetwood Town admit they would be keen to loan back star striker Jamie Vardy, if he is sold during January.
Town are pushing hard for promotion from the Conference, and currently sit second in the table.
Vardy has been the stand-out performer anywhere in non-league football so far this season with 17 goals in 18 league games.
Blackpool and Crawley have both failed with bids as the interest mounts, with the likes of Wolves, West Ham, Reading and Old Firm duo Celtic and Rangers having also joined the hunt.
Fleetwood, though, would prefer to agree a deal now and then have Vardy loaned back, with their chairman Andy Pilley admitting this option is under consideration.
"That has been part of negotiations and would be attractive," Pilley told the People.
