Brazilian striker claims to have no intention of moving on

Alexandre Pato has sought to end the rumours claiming he is close to sealing a switch to PSG by committing himself to AC Milan. PSG sporting director Leonardo announced on Thursday that he was 'optimistic' regarding the club's chances of luring the Brazil international to France. Pato has responded to those comments by issuing a statement of his own. He says he has no desire to leave Milan, the club that has moulded him from an 18-year-old rough diamond into global star, and claims he will be going nowhere during the winter transfer window. "Milan is my home," Pato told the club's official website.

Special

"I don't want to interrupt my career with the black and reds after winning my first two trophies (the Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup) with this shirt. "I want to contribute to writing Milan's history and to the future success of this club with happiness and in perfect harmony with the environment. "Today is a special day for me. "I thank club president (Silvio) Berlusconi, the club and the supporters who have always believed in me." Pato is under contract with Milan until 2014 and is hoping to repay the club's faith in him by recapturing the form he displayed during his early days in Italy.
