Manchester City have confirmed that they have released goalkeepers David Gonzalez and Loris Karius.

Colombian international Gonzalez has spent the first half of the season on loan at SPL outfit Aberdeen.

Gonzalez is now free to find a new club and a number of teams in England and Scotland are believed to have expressed an interest.

Likewise, Karius has been away from the club this term playing for Bundesliga outfit Mainz.

The 18-year-old, who joined City in 2009 from Stuttgart, has now penned a two-and-half year deal with Mainz.
