Dundee United have agreed a deal to sign Ross County striker Michael Gardyne on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has signed a pre-contract to move to Tannadice in the summer when his deal with County ends.
Gardyne joined the Highland club on a permanent basis in the summer of 2008 following a previous loan spell at Victoria Park while on the books at Celtic.
A statement on United's website read: "Dundee United today confirmed that Michael Gardyne has signed a pre-contract agreement with the club.
"The 25-year-old is currently contracted to First Division Ross County."
Gardyne was part of the Ross County team which lost 3-0 to Dundee United in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park in 2010.
