Baggies new boy looking forward to Premier League challenge

West Brom new boy Scott Allan is delighted to have arrived in the Premier League and is confident he can make a big impression in England. The Baggies completed their capture of the promising midfielder on Tuesday, with the 20-year-old having penned a two-and-a-half-year contract following his arrival from Dundee United. Allan had been interesting several clubs at the time of the January transfer window swinging open, but he has opted to try his luck in the Midlands. He is happy with his choice and believes West Brom will provide him with the perfect platform on which to further his career. "I'm delighted to have moved to West Brom," Allan told the club's official website. "It's been going on for a while. I just can't wait to start training now. "West Brom showed from the start how much they wanted me and they made me feel welcome, which made my choice easier to come here.

Desire

"I like the way the club is close-knit and I like the way West Brom play football. "Dan Ashworth (sporting & technical director) also made me feel really wanted and that's why I ended up here, it felt right for me." Allan is looking forward to testing himself on English football's biggest stage, with the Premier League holding no fear for him. "I'd hope I could go in and handle it," he said. "If you can take the ball, look for it and not hide from the ball, of course you can. "It's about whether you want it enough and have the desire to prove you can do it at this level. "It's every boy's dream to play in the Premier League now."
