Marouane Chamakh has put any talks about his future at Arsenal on hold for the duration of the African Cup of Nations.

The striker has found the net just once for Arsenal this season in their 4-3 defeat by struggling Blackburn and could find his appearances limited with the arrival of iconic Frenchman Thierry Henry on loan.

The 28-year-old and his Moroccan team-mate Mounir El Hamdaoui are currently being targeted by Italian giants Fiorentina.

But Chamakh would not be drawn on any talk of a move away from the North London side while on international duty.

"Fiorentina is a good team," he told Sky Sports.

"I want to have a fantastic African Nations Cup - the rest will follow."

El Hamdaoui, though, is currently out of favour at Ajax and has been linked with a number of European side in recent weeks, commenting: "I want to move to a bigger league and show my qualities."
