Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has confirmed the club's interest in NEC Nijmegen midfielder John Goossens.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at NEC at the end of the season and has been linked with a free transfer to De Kuip in the summer.
Premier League newcomers Swansea agreed a fee for Goossens late last month but the left-sided midfielder chose to snub the move in favour of seeing out his contract in Nijmegen.
Van Geel says the Dutchman would be a welcome addition in Rotterdam.
"He can play all positions on the left. We would like to have him," the Feyenoord chief told AD.
"He's still young but already very experienced in the league.
"He can also take a fantastic free-kick."
