Middlesbrough's blistering form in December has seen manager Tony Mowbray scoop the Manager of the Month award.
Boro ended November with a 2-0 defeat by West Ham, but responded by winning four and drawing one of their next five games.
Mowbray's troops beat Bristol City, Brighton, Cardiff and Hull before being held to a late home draw by Peterborough.
The Riverside boss saw off competition from Reading's Brian McDermott, Watford's Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe of Burnley.
Ex-Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley chairs the npower Manager of the Month judging panel.
"December was a terrific month for Tony Mowbray and his team," he commented.
"They remained undefeated and gained an impressive 13 points, conceding only three goals in the process.
"They've strengthened their push for promotion and now look like genuine contenders near the top of the league."
Reading defender Alex Pearce claimed the Player of the Month prize for December.
During the month the Royals kept four clean sheets in wins over West Ham, Leeds, Brighton and Ipswich.
