Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of Everton defender Aristote Nsiala on a loan contract until February 14.
The 19-year-old centre-back, who played 13 times in a spell with Macclesfield last season, will join John Coleman's in-form squad for Friday's fixture at Burton.
The Congo-born defender fills the void left at the Crown Ground by Kevin Long, who returned to parent club Burnley earlier on Thursday.
"I played at Macclesfield last season and it was quite hard so I'm expecting it to be harder here," said Nsiala. "I'm excited and nervous at the same time."
Boss Coleman added: "I've seen him play a couple of times, both on loan at Macclesfield and at Everton as well.
"We had to bring in some reinforcements. We can't take a chance in that area and it's a big opportunity for him."
