Gary Speed: Costa Rica were the opponents when he made his Wales debut
Next month's Gary Speed Memorial match will see Wales take on Costa Rica, it has been confirmed.
Speed, who became Wales manager in December 2010, was found dead at his home on 27th November in an apparent suicide.
The Central American side are seen as an appropriate choice because they were also Wales' opponents when Speed made his international debut in May 1990.
"This will be an opportunity to celebrate the life and achievement of a great servant to Welsh football, both as a player and a manager," the Football Association of Wales said in a statement.
The match will take place at Cardiff City Stadium on 29th February at 7.45pm.
Tickets go on sale on 11th January priced at £10 for adults and £5 concessions, with 10% of the profits donated to charity.
