Two wins on the trot has pleased midfielder Marc Pugh, who says Bournemouth could not have enjoyed a happier New Year.
The playmaker was instrumental as the Cherries saw off Wycombe 2-0 on Monday to add to their 3-1 victory over Yeovil on New Year's Eve and extend their unbeaten run in League One to three matches.
The Dorset outfit have moved into 10th spot in the table, just five points off the play-off places, and Pugh revealed how positive the atmosphere within the squad is at present.
He told the club's official website: "2012 has started brilliantly. Football is the best game in the world and we all love our job, and it's a pleasure to be out there playing and I'm really looking forward to this year.
"We go in to the year five points off the play-offs and we have proved against the likes of Huddersfield and Brentford recently that we can match any tram in this league.
"I feel I'm playing really well and causing full-backs problems and I'm really happy with the way everything is going. I want to be scoring but I'm creating things, playing well and the team is playing well and the most important thing is we have picked up three points in the last two games."
