Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew believes Gabriel Obertan will be fit to face Manchester United on Wednesday.
The French winger had been doubtful to line up against his former club after damaging a toe in Friday's 3-1 loss to Liverpool.
Obertan was replaced by Sammy Ameobi late on at Anfield, although Pardew has been pleased with his progress since.
The Magpies boss claims the club did not pick up any fresh knocks in the loss to the Reds.
"Gabriel's fine - fortunately, we've come through Liverpool unscathed," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"We were a bit worried about Gabriel's toe after Liverpool, but he seems much better."
