Hull City have treated Leicester City's bid to sign winger Cameron Stewart with 'disdain', according to director of football Adam Pearson.

Skysports.com revealed over the weekend that Leicester manager Nigel Pearson was looking to raid his former club to take Stewart to the King Power Stadium.

However, the Tigers rejected the £1million offer and Adam Pearson had no hesitation in dismissing the bid from their Championship rivals.

"We are treating it with disdain," said Pearson.

"We have not taken it seriously and ignored it. It is not going to happen but the figure mentioned I presume was for his left foot or his left toe."

No chance

Tigers caretaker manager Nick Barmby also brushed off the bid and is determined to keep former Manchester United youngster Stewart at the KC Stadium.

Barmby said: "Cameron's not going anywhere, especially with a bid like that. No chance. That's if you can call it a bid, which I don't think you can.

"It didn't upset me. I think it was an absolute banker that it was going to happen. Our players are doing well so it's going to happen I suppose.

"It's not really a bid. It would take an awful lot of money for some of our lads to go out the door.

"We certainly don't want to lose anyone and I'd be very disappointed if anyone leaves."
