Midfielder completes permanent exit from Stoke following initial loan

Leeds have completed the signing of midfielder Danny Pugh on a two-and-a-half-year contract from Premier League side Stoke. Pugh has been with the Championship club since September on loan and has now put pen to paper on a permanent switch. Whites boss Simon Grayson confirmed the swoop in his programme notes ahead of the clash with Burnley at Elland Road on 2nd January. The 29-year-old has long been expected to depart the Britannia Stadium after falling out of favour under Potters boss Tony Pulis. The former Manchester United trainee is in his second spell with Leeds having joined the West Yorkshire club from Old Trafford in May 2004 before moving on to Preston and then Stoke.
