AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic would welcome Carlos Tevez at AC Milan, saying he would provide the club with an 'extra weapon'.
Manchester City are keen to offload the striker in January after his now infamous bust-up in Munich last September.
Negotiations between City and Milan have been on-going for several weeks, with the main sticking point being the Italians side's desire to take the player on-loan as opposed to the Premier League outfit's determination to sell him.
Both clubs remain hopeful that a deal will be concluded in the coming weeks and, should it go ahead, Sweden striker Ibrahimovic would welcome the move.
The 30-year-old, speaking in Dubai where Milan are due to play a mid-season friendly with PSG, feels it will help the club compete with the 'bigger teams' across Europe.
"For me, Tevez is a great player," said the Swede.
"I don't know how the situation is and if he's coming, if he's not coming. But he's a great player and if he comes for sure he will do a great job for us.
"It would be an extra weapon for us. Everybody knows what kind of a player Tevez is. He's a fantastic player and he will bring extra quality to the team."
