Hoops suffer Kayal blow

Midfielder out for at least a month with ankle injury

Beram Kayal: Will be out for at least a month with an ankle injury

Celtic have suffered a blow with the news midfielder Beram Kayal will be out for at least a month.

The midfielder sustained an ankle injury in the 1-0 win over Old Firm rivals Rangers on Wednesday.

He went off on a stretcher to be replaced by Ki Sung-Yeung after a clash with Lee McCulloch which originally looked to have caused more damage to the Ibrox player.

Kayal, 23, who has featured 18 times for the Hoops in the SPL this season, has since undergone two sets of scans.

The club have now confirmed he will be out of action for at least one month and will receive a further investigation on the injury in one week.
