Burton manager Paul Peschisolido is disappointed that Greg Pearson's loan spell at Aldershot is not proving to be a success.

Pearson joined the Shots in November but the 26-year-old has featured just three times for the Hampshire club.

"He went there to play games and he hasn't done that. He's probably in the same position he was prior to going," Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby. "It's unfortunate for him but we've got three strikers who are all in form."

Pearson scored five times in 16 starts for Burton last season but a toe injury and the arrival and form of Justin Richards, Calvin Zola and Billy Kee means Peschisolido may look to find the former West Ham trainee another temporary club in the new year.

The Albion boss added: "He's going to find it extremely hard to find his way into the starting line-up, so I think it would be best for both parties if we could get him back out on loan."
